American Academy of Optometry

Founded in 1998, with its headquarters at University of New South Wales Australia, ICEE - International Centre for Eyecare Education is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation that is committed to delivering a solution. ICEE's mission is to eliminate avoidable blindness due to 'uncorrected refractive error' - a technical way of saying person needs a pair of appropriate glassess to see - by developing sustainable solutions for disadvantaged communities in need of eyecare.

Singapore Polytechnic – Diploma in Optometry
The Diploma in Optometry course is awarded by Singapore Polytechnic. Most Optometrists in Singapore graduate from this course. It is a 3 year program that encompasses intense lectures, practical sessions, as well as optometric clinical training.

Singapore Polytechnic Optometry Centre
SPOC is the training centre for the students of the Diploma in Optometry, awarded by Singapore Polytechnic. It is where the students learn their clinical skills, under the supervision of experienced Optometrist Lecturers. SPOC is open to the public for eye examinations.

Pennsylvania College of Optometry
The Pennsylvania College of Optometry confers the professional Doctor of Optometry degree in the United States. It also offers the international Master of Science in Clinical Optometry Degree to students from around the world who study in this program.

Register of Contact Lens Practitioners in Singapore

Singapore Society of Ophthalmology
The Singapore Society of Ophthalmology represents the Ophthalmologists in Singapore. It's objective is to t promotes interests and study in Ophthalmology, to achieve liaison with similar bodies in other countries with the approval of the Singapore Medical Association Council, and publishes a journal or proceedings or transactions of scientific meetings with approval of Singapore Medical Association of scientific meetings with approval of the Singapore Medical Association Council.

The 21st Congress of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology
The 21st Congress of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology will be held in Singapore, on 10 – 15 June in the year 2006. A highly exclusive setting will be in place to bring together our elite group of ophthalmologists, eye surgeons and researchers from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond and the participation of multi-national pharmaceutical giants to our unique tropical island of Singapore.

Unite for Sight
Unite For Sight is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers communities worldwide to improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness. More than 4,000 volunteers work in ninety chapters established at universities, medical schools, corporations, high schools, and in communities throughout the world. Additionally, Volunteer Teams are sent to 25 countries to provide eye care and eye health education programs to medically underserved communities.

World Council of Optometry
The World Council of Optometry (WCO) is an international organization dedicated to the enhancement and development of eye and vision care worldwide. Representing over 50 countries, WCO serves as a forum for member organizations to respond to public health needs and opportunities around the world. WCO is a unifying voice and catalyst for international projects and services that meet the needs of the optometric profession, ophthalmic industry and public they serve.
